Release notes

What has changed in MukiBasar

Since the first bazaar in spring 2024, MukiBasar has grown with every season – usually because an organizing team standing in the middle of a school gym noticed what was still missing. Here is what was added, and what we repaired along the way.

V2.3 Current

Notifications

You no longer have to keep the app open to stay in the loop. New messages and sold articles announce themselves — on the lock screen, even when the app is closed.

New in this version

  • Notifications on your device

New messages and sold articles arrive as a notification even when the app is closed. One tap opens the conversation or the bazaar. Switched on per device, and off again whenever you like.

  • A sound when something arrives

While the app is open, a new message announces itself with a short chime — inside the conversation and anywhere else in the app. It can be switched off in the settings.

  • Sales bundled, not one by one

When a whole crate goes over the counter, you get one notification with the count and the total — not one per article.

  • Help right from the sign-in screen

The help link on the sign-in screen now opens the guide — in whichever language is currently selected.

Fixed issues 2
  • Sales at the till were listed in reverse order; the newest entry is now on top.
  • The reports layout slipped on narrow screens.
V2.2

Communication & privacy

MukiBasar now sends the important messages on its own. And when someone does have a question, they write it inside the app — no need to swap private phone numbers.

New in this version

  • Emails that send themselves

Approval, rejection, confirmed hand-in and a reminder shortly before the bazaar all go out automatically. No more mail merges, no more forgotten sellers.

  • Replies reach you

Every organization stores its own reply address. When someone answers an automatic email, it arrives in the right inbox.

  • Write directly instead of searching

Sellers and the organizing team message each other inside the app — about a specific bazaar or in general. Private contact details stay private.

  • One room per bazaar

Every bazaar gets a shared room for everyone taking part: write once, reach all. Joining is voluntary and you can leave at any time.

  • Inbox with unread counter

All conversations in one place. Unread messages show as a small number in the navigation — stacked on a phone, side by side on a large screen.

  • Search and moderate

Messages can be searched by text. Organizing teams can remove individual posts, exclude participants and lift an exclusion again.

  • Data protection package

Digitally confirm the data processing agreement, revised privacy texts for sellers and organizations, and protected profile pictures only authorised people can see.

Fixed issues 4
  • The bell in the header led nowhere and is gone.
  • Email addresses of till staff were not always carried over.
  • In rare cases registration failed despite a valid permission.
  • Dates appeared on the public overview with a delay.
V2.1

Running the season

Everything that happens during and after a bazaar day: take in the goods, follow along live, close the books cleanly.

New in this version

  • Goods receipt at the desk

Scan the seller number or box label, confirm the hand-in — done. A progress bar shows who has already been there, and several desks stay in sync in real time.

  • Correct it, don't despair

Confirmed by mistake? A hand-in can be taken back without anyone having to fix things behind the scenes.

  • Live sales figures

While the bazaar is still running, sellers see what sold, what it has earned so far and how they compare to others.

  • Pick a till

The till place is chosen when opening the till. And the till warns you when an article has not been handed in at all.

  • Close and archive a bazaar

At the end the bazaar is closed: unsold articles are released automatically, tills are shut and the settlement is prepared.

  • Manage discounts and bonuses

Discounts, helper bonuses and reductions are maintained right on the bazaar — with a preview of what it means for sellers.

  • Articles lock after hand-in

Once the goods are handed in, price and description can no longer be changed. That way the label always matches the article.

  • Dates update themselves

When a bazaar is published it appears in the public list of dates shortly afterwards — including map and radius search.

Fixed issues 7
  • A bazaar taking place the same day was missing from the overview.
  • Times shifted depending on the time zone.
  • Search now covers all dates, not just the next ones.
  • In dark mode some surfaces stayed light.
  • The app announces updates reliably and reloads itself.
  • Till signal tones were inaudible on some devices.
  • Location search could not find certain places.
V2.0 Biggest update

The new generation

Four months of work behind the scenes: MukiBasar now stands on an entirely new foundation. New database, new app, new website. Everything you knew — only faster, tidier and finally usable without an internet connection.

New in this version

  • An entirely new app

Rebuilt from the ground up: fast start, clear paths, light and dark mode — and still installable on your phone like any familiar app.

  • Changes appear instantly

New registrations, sold articles, new messages: whatever changes is there immediately on every device. No reloading, no half-old view.

  • A till that works offline

The till loads everything it needs up front and keeps working when the gym's wi-fi gives up. As soon as there is a connection again, every sale is submitted automatically.

  • Cockpit for organizations

One overview per bazaar that follows the phase you are in: preparation, registration, bazaar day, closing — always with the tasks that are due right now.

  • Bazaar wizard

Create a new bazaar in clear steps: key data, time slots, fees, categories and description — with a summary before you publish.

  • Manage registrations

Filter, sort, view in detail, approve or decline — for many registrations at once if you want.

  • Articles and labels

Create articles, assign them to a bazaar, scan them with the camera and print labels. The print status is remembered so nothing comes out twice.

  • Preparation checklist

Sellers see what is still to be done before the bazaar — from labels to handing in the goods.

  • Reports and settlement

Payout summaries, article lists, envelope templates and settlements as ready-to-print documents.

  • New public website

A list of dates with map and radius search, a detail page per bazaar, the user guide and the blog.

  • A move without data loss

Accounts, seller numbers, bazaars and articles all came along. Registrations and settlements from past seasons are preserved too.

V1.6

More organizations, a clearer login

The final expansion of the previous generation: several organizations under one roof, a tidied-up login and three new reports for the settlement.

New in this version

  • Manage several organizations

Clubs with several groups manage their bazaars separately — with their own settlement per organization.

  • Login reworked

Sign in, sign up and password reset were rebuilt — with understandable guidance instead of technical error messages.

  • Three new reports

Blank envelopes to write on, a simple article list and a payout summary. Plus filters to narrow a report down to individual sellers.

  • Faster article entry

Reworked entry form with grouped category selection and calmer lists.

  • The blog begins

Since then the website carries field reports and tips on organizing a bazaar.

Fixed issues 4
  • Printing was unreliable in Safari and in the installed app.
  • Seller numbers were sorted incorrectly in reports.
  • Network problems produced a misleading error message.
  • Onboarding aborted in rare cases.
V1.5

Bazaar wizard & labels

Ahead of the autumn season: create bazaars step by step, settle per article and print labels the way your printer likes them.

New in this version

  • Create a bazaar step by step

Key data, description, discounts and settings in a guided flow instead of one long form.

  • Per-article fee

Alongside commission and stall fee you can now also settle per article.

  • Label printers and label sheets

Support for label printers and a choice of common label formats right in the article list.

  • Confirmation after goods receipt

After handing in their goods, sellers automatically receive a confirmation by email.

  • Price check

While creating an article the app flags implausible prices — before the label is printed.

  • List of dates on the website

Upcoming bazaars appear publicly with place, date and a link to register.

  • Member management

Invite members, assign roles and set limits per organization.

Fixed issues 5
  • Articles were not always saved on the first attempt.
  • Label margins did not match common sheets.
  • Discounts were calculated incorrectly at hand-in.
  • Searching by article number did not always find the article.
  • List height and till staff status were displayed incorrectly.
V1.4

Bazaar detail page & an installable app

Sellers finally see everything about a bazaar on one page — and MukiBasar lands on the home screen as an app.

New in this version

  • Everything about a bazaar on one page

Fees, time slots, hand-in times, contact, allowed and excluded categories plus your own statistics — bundled on the detail page.

  • Filter and sort registrations

Organizing teams filter by status, sort the list and see at a glance who is still waiting for an answer.

  • An installable app

Its own icon, a place on the home screen and full screen — MukiBasar behaves like any familiar app.

  • Printing that works

Printing was reworked from the ground up so labels come out cleanly in every browser and on every device.

  • Contact details in your profile

Store address and phone number in your profile so the organizing team can reach you in an emergency.

  • Prices in the open

Since then the website states transparently what MukiBasar costs.

Fixed issues 5
  • The camera did not start on some devices.
  • Labels were printed at the wrong height.
  • The most recently chosen category was not applied.
  • Printing in Safari produced empty pages.
  • Very long article lists pushed the app to its limits.
V1.3

The till, rethought

After the first season with real bazaar days, the till was rebuilt from scratch — with what is actually needed on the day.

New in this version

  • The till, rebuilt

Receipt history, manual entry for unreadable labels, support for hand scanners and a receipt to take home.

  • Sales statistics for sellers

After the bazaar you can see what sold and what will be paid out.

  • Article list reworked

A clearer list showing which fees apply to an article.

  • Label and receipt reports

Ready-to-print reports for labels, receipts and the settlement.

  • The user guide goes online

A dedicated guide explains step by step how registration, labels and the till work.

Fixed issues 3
  • Sales time slots were assigned incorrectly.
  • Articles stayed assigned to a bazaar after it had ended.
  • Some amounts in the settlement were rounded incorrectly.
V1.2

Goods receipt & reports

The first version that carried a full bazaar day: take in the goods, sell them, settle up.

New in this version

  • Goods receipt

Hand-ins are recorded, duplicate hand-ins detected and time slots taken into account.

  • Box labels

Labels for boxes and clothes rails so it is clear on hand-in day what belongs to whom.

  • Reports and settlement

Hand-in lists, sales overviews and an invoice template for settling with sellers.

  • Cockpit with key figures

Registrations, articles and revenue at a glance, plus the complete registration list.

  • A till that closes properly

A clear summary after every sale — and noticeably faster scanning.

  • Password reset

Anyone who forgot their password gets back in without outside help.

  • Rights per organization

Who may see and edit which bazaars is now governed per organization.

  • Public website

The first public pages with information about the product and a privacy statement.

Fixed issues 5
  • The scanner did not recognise some labels.
  • The summary after a sale showed incorrect totals.
  • The last row of long lists was hidden.
  • Back navigation led to unexpected places.
  • Dates and prices are shown in a consistent format throughout.
V1.1

Organizations & fees

A tool for one bazaar becomes a platform for clubs: with organizations, roles and a fee model that fits your bazaar.

New in this version

  • Organizations and members

Clubs create an organization, invite members and assign roles.

  • Create a bazaar in the browser

Bazaars are created right in the app — with time slots and places — and then published.

  • Fees, commission and discounts

Combine stall fee, commission and discounts freely — with a preview of what will be paid out in the end.

  • Seller number

Every seller gets a fixed number that appears on all labels and lists.

  • An app that updates itself

The app can be installed on your phone and brings itself up to date in the background.

  • Till places with permissions

Several till places with their own access so helpers only see what they need.

  • Sold labels

Dedicated labels for sold articles to check against when handing goods over.

Fixed issues 5
  • The seller number was missing after signing up.
  • Sessions expired unexpectedly and forced a new login.
  • Printing did not work on Android devices.
  • Articles could not be updated or deleted.
  • Password error messages were hard to understand.
V1.0

The beginning: a tool to organize a bazaar from registration all the way to the label.

New in this version

  • Account and getting started

Sign up, sign in and set up profile and role in a few steps.

  • Labels with a QR code

Ready-to-print labels with a QR code for every article.

  • The first till

Scan an article's code and sell it.

Fixed issues 3
  • Printing from a phone produced cut-off labels.
  • Registrations could not be withdrawn.
  • Free places were counted incorrectly.
